About Us

Mabry Health Care began in 1979 as a family owned nursing home, and we still maintain that same family tradition today. We strive daily to provide the most quality nursing care for your loved ones. Mabry Health Care & Rehab Center takes great pride in maintaining high standards of quality health care.

Richard Mabry is the owner of Mabry Health Care & Rehab. He along with his daughter Diana Reich oversee day to day operations, while his son, Shawn, volunteers regularly. Richard is a Clay County native but now resides in Cookeville. Richard served in the United States Air Force studying in telecommunications. After his service, he went on to work for Twin Lakes Telephone, retiring after 33 years.

In Richard’s spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and growing a garden in the summer months. Diana left a career in the cooperate banking field to oversee the financials at Mabry’s. She spends what little spare time she has chasing after her children and loves going to the beach. Shawn became disabled after a car accident while in high school. He has a passion for photography and a love hate relationship with anything electronic.

Our Location

You can find our campus located 19 miles north of I-40 at exit 280 in beautiful Gainesboro, Tennessee. You’ll find our location convenient, but tucked away from the lights and noise of a large cityscape; what we think is a perfect setting for rehabilitation and patient care. We’re close to the natural beauty of the Cumberland River and just minutes from State Parks, camping, fishing and more.

24 hour nursing care is provided in a family owned, homelike setting, and our food is some of the best around. In addition to meeting physical needs, we also promote psychosocial growth through our extensive social service and recreation programs. Dementia care and respite care is also available. Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center takes great pride in maintaining high standards of quality health care. Mabry Health Care is equipped with state of the art fire monitoring system with sprinklers and smoke detectors located in each resident’s room and on each hallway. Mabry Health Care has many other great features and highly qualified staff to assure excellence in care is provided.
